U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is extending the grace periods when we will accept previous editions of the following forms:
Form I-914, Application for T Nonimmigrant Status;
Form I-914, Supplement A, Application for Family Member of T-1 Recipient;
Form I-914, Supplement B, Declaration of Law Enforcement Officer for Victim of Trafficking in Persons; and
Form I-918, Supplement B, U Nonimmigrant Status Certification.
For Form I-914 and its supplements, the grace period will now extend to Aug. 27, 2024. Until then, we will accept either the 04/01/24 or the 12/02/21 edition of Form I-914; Form I-914, Supplement A; and Form I-914, Supplement B. Starting Aug. 28, 2024, we will accept only the 04/01/24 edition of Form I-914 and supplements A and B.
For Form I-918, Supplement B, the grace period will now extend to Nov. 11, 2024. Until then, we will accept either the 04/01/24 or the 12/06/21 edition. Starting Nov. 12, 2024, we will accept only the 04/01/24 edition of Form I-918, Supplement B.
These forms are generally completed over a period of many months. The original 60-day effective date and 60-day grace periods may not have provided enough advance notice for those in the process of preparing these forms to transition to the new versions without considerable burden. USCIS’ Vermont and Nebraska service centers manage intake of these forms, and extending these grace periods does not require significant changes by those service centers to accommodate multiple versions of these forms for a limited period of time.
You can find the form edition date at the bottom of the page for each form and the instructions. Dates are listed by mm/dd/yy format. Before this extension, the grace periods for these forms ended on June 3, 2024.
